OPEN EARS Open Call for Artists Performances

QUB Electronic Arts Research Society

OPEN EARS - Open Call for Innovative Technology Enhanced Performance

Open Ears is a student led initiative whose motivation is to provide an opportunity for local artists to perform in the Sonic Arts Research Centre’s (SARC) ‘Sonic Lab’, providing the public with a free showcase of the best local talent in a prestigious venue. In keeping with the SARC ethos, we aim to showcase performers creatively utilising technology in their work.

We seek submissions from Northern Ireland based musicians and multi-media artists whose work lies in-between categories: the academic, popular, experimental and traditional, and who make inspirational use of technology in their performance practice.

While we unfortunately cannot pay performers, we will pay travel expenses and provide food and drinks on the night. PA and projection equipment will be provided, any special requirements must be sourced by successful applicants.
